Culture of Research at Boston University
Scholarship and research at the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences span the gamut of intellectual endeavor—art history to astronomy, philosophy to physics, as well as literature, language, life sciences, political science, religion, mathematics, and computation.
Research activity comprises departmental and interdisciplinary programs, individual projects, events, and scholarly publications.
The integration of graduate education and research is critical to the University’s mission, and is nowhere more evident than across the 32 centers and institutes affiliated with the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
